Emma Taylor has been involved in transforming maternity services by representing and advocating for women and families since 2015. She is currently the South East Perinatal Team’s Service User Voice Lead, as well as a Director of National Maternity Voices, and is an experienced Maternity Voices Partnership chair. She has also held service user representation roles on the NHSE Maternity Transformation Programme where she was co-chair of the Improving Prevention workstream and a member of the Smokefree Programme of the Maternity and Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme, and with the Royal College of Midwives, scoping their Shared Voices Network, as part of which she was also on the Independent Maternity Working Group providing oversight of the Maternity Transformation Programme. Emma is passionate about effecting positive change in maternity and neonatal services and safety by hearing women’s and families’ voices and facilitating an environment in which service users and professionals can share experiences and knowledge.
