Mr Simon Butler-Manuel

Simon Butler-Manuel was the first subspecialist Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon at the Royal Surrey, and now leads a department of five Consultants. His post-graduate training was principally at St. Thomas’s, Queen Charlotte’s, St. George’s and in Surrey. He was trained in laparoscopic surgery with Chris Sutton and his MD research with Des Barton, before completing a Macmillan Oncology fellowship.
Simon is an accomplished surgical trainer, innovator, manager and researcher. He introduced robotic surgery to Guildford in 2009, the UK Intuitive Surgical Epicentre for robotic gynaecological training, and has perhaps the greatest experience of gynaecological robotic surgery in the UK.
