Miss Melanie Kate Tipples

Melanie is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St Richard’s Hospital Chichester, part of University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

Melanie is Lead Gynaecologist at St Richard’s Hospital and led the implementation of the day case Hysterectomy pathway for her Trust. Melanie has undertaken different roles in education and since 2017 has been Head of School for Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Kent, Surrey and Sussex. In 2022 she chaired the RCOG task and finish group for Gynae Simulation which published The RCOG Gynaecology Laparoscopic simulation toolkit. She is currently Co–Chair of the National Recruitment Board for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
