Dr Shema Tariq

Shema Tariq is a Clinical Academic (UCL’s Institute for Global Health) and Honorary Consultant HIV Physician (Mortimer Market Centre, London). Shema’s expertise is in the care of women living with HIV. She is Chief Investigator of the NIHR-funded PRIME Study investigating menopause in women with HIV, and leads a specialist HIV and menopause clinic at Mortimer Market Centre. Shema has developed national and international guidelines for the management of menopause in HIV, and has been involved in the development of peer support for women ageing with HIV.
