Dr Ka Wang Cheung

Dr Cheung is the Clinical Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong and works as Maternal and Fetal Medicine subspecialist at Queen Mary Hospital. He obtained the scholarship for an overseas training in Birmingham Women’s Hospital under Prof Mark Kilby, where he learnt the skill to handle complicated pregnancy and perform fetal intervention. He is enthusiastic in researches and works closely with other international experts in the field to actively promote women’ health and safe delivery. His research interests are hepatitis B infection in pregnancy and prevention of preterm birth. He worked with the World Health Organization to provide evidence-based clinical algorithms to manage abnormal labour. He was nominated by the Hong Kong College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to be the Distinguished young Fellow of the Academy in 2019.
