Dr Godwin Akaba

Dr Godwin Akaba works at the University of Abuja/University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Abuja, Nigeria as a Senior Lecturer/Honorary consultant and is involved in the teaching and training of undergraduate medical students/postgraduate medical doctors while offering clinical services in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. His research interest and works revolve around maternal and perinatal health with a specialization on the prevention of maternal mortality from the direct causes of maternal deaths including unsafe abortions. He is a co-investigator on the Making Abortion Safe global abortion provider stigma study and a member of the UK Research and Innovation(UKRI) peer reviewer’s college.
