Dr Chris Dewhurst

I am a Consultant Neonatal Paediatrician and Deputy Medical Director at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. I have previously been the Clinical Director for both Family Health (Maternity and Neonates) and the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership between Liverpool Women’s and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

My doctorate studies investigated Neonatal Heart Rate Variability monitoring. I have lectured both nationally and internationally on ventilation and physiological monitoring, published in peer reviewed journals and authored and edited paediatric textbooks.

I have a particular interest in physiological monitoring, echocardiography and neonatal ventilation.
